DURHAM CATHOLIC DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARD 
 
PSYCHOLOGIST, PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSOCIATE, OR PSYCHOMETRIST 
The Durham Catholic District School Board has a permanent position available from September 1, 2010. 
Necessary qualifications include:  
• Registered with or eligible for registration with the College of Psychologists of Ontario (supervision provided if needed)
• Consistent use of a vehicle
• Experience working in school system or paediatric setting
• Extensive experience with psychological assessment and a solid background in the areas of learning disabilities, developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and child and adolescent emotional development and mental health.
• Candidates will have the skills and experience necessary to provide consultation, assessment, diagnosis, interventions, and counselling within a school setting.  Excellent interpersonal skills and experience working with an interdisciplinary team are required.  Strong oral and written communication skills are essential.  Flexibility and the ability to work under pressure are also required, as is the demonstrated ability to complete timely, comprehensive assessment reports.
 
The annual salary range for this position is $53,166 to $97,049, depending on qualifications and experience, plus mileage reimbursement and $1,639. per year car allowance.  The work year is 194 days.  Medical, dental, and life insurance benefits are provided for full-time positions. 
The Durham Catholic District School Board is located half an hour east of Toronto.  The Board has 39 elementary, 7 secondary schools, and alternative education facilities, in both urban and rural settings.  Our Psychological Services Staff work in multi-disciplinary teams with communicative disorders assistants, speech-language pathologists, social workers, child and youth counsellors, and resource teachers, providing a range of services including psychological assessment, counselling, and consultation.
